Nancy Vieira
Reputed to have the finest voice of the new Cape Verdean generation, Nancy
Vieira follows in the footsteps of Cesária Évora. She made her debut in 1996
with Nôs Raça. After Segred in 2004, Nancy Vieira took part in Portuguese
guitarist Rui Veloso's 2005 album A Espuma das Canções . Nancy Vieira returned
in 2007 with Lus, before releasing No Ama in 2012, which is surprisingly much
more upbeat than the usual mornas.
