Dywane Thomas Jr., known professionally as MonoNeon, and born on August 6, 1990,
in Memphis, Tennessee, is an American bassist, experimental musician, and
singer-songwriter. He began playing bass at four years old and started his
career performing with Bar-Kays. In 2011, MonoNeon released his first EP, The
Kitschy EP, and gained attention for his unique bass playing style, which
included heavy string bending and a distinctive slapping technique. Notable
