Born on 24 November 1961 in Liverpool, England, singer-songwriter Michael Head
has achieved cult fame with UK indie heroes Shack and the Pale Fountains. During
the early 1980s, he rose to prominence as a founding member of the latter,
alongside his pal Chris "Biffa" McCaffrey, who sadly passed away from a brain
tumour not long after the band split in 1987. In 1986, he formed Shack with his
younger brother John on lead guitar, Peter Wilkinson on bass, and Mick Hurst on
drums, and the quartet released their debut album Pacific Street in 1984 and the
