Magnús Þór Jónsson, known professionally as Megas, was born on April 7, 1945, in
Reykjavík, Iceland. Inspired by Elvis Presley and influenced by Bob Dylan and
Ray Davies, Megas began his music career in the early 1970s with a self-titled
debut album released in 1972, which featured satiric lyrics and mild acoustic
music played by Norwegian folk musicians. This work sparked controversy but
