Gláucio William da Silva Jerônimo—known professionally as MC GW—is a Brazilian
funk artist and songwriter from São João de Meriti, Rio de Janeiro, born on
January 22, 1992. He began his musical journey performing in samba groups during
his adolescence before transitioning into funk proibidão. He first gained
attention in 2013 with “Sarra Novinha no Grau,” followed by a series of breakout
tracks in 2017 including “Ritmo Mexicano” and “Atura ou Surta,” which helped
