Maysa Figueira Monjardim, known professionally as Maysa Matarazzo, was a
Brazilian singer born on June 6, 1936, in Rio de Janeiro. Her career began in
1956 with the release of Convite para ouvir Maysa, her debut album featuring
original compositions. In 1957, she released her second album, Maysa, which
included the hit "Ouça". She moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1958 and was contracted
by TV Rio, releasing Convite para ouvir Maysa II that year. Throughout the
