Péter Máté, born on February 4, 1947 in Budapest, Hungary, was a Hungarian
singer who began his musical education at age six. In 1965, he made his first
recordings at Magyar Rádió, including "Úgy várom hogy jössz-e már?" (1967) and
"Mondd már" (1967) with Illés. His breakthrough came with winning the largest
pol-beat festival of the Eastern Bloc in Sochi. Máté Péter released several
albums, notably Éjszakák és nappalok (1976), Magány... és együttlét (1978), and
Szívhangok (1980). He also composed musicals and theatrical background music. He
