Massappeal, an Australian hardcore punk band, was formed in Sydney in early 1985
by Brett Curotta on guitar and Randy Reimann on vocals. The band's initial
lineup also included Darren Gilmour on drums and Kevin McCrear on bass guitar.
Massappeal's first gig took place on Mardi-Gras night in 1985, and their debut
album Nobody Likes a Thinker was released in December 1986. The album reached
Number 1 on the Australian indie charts and received positive reviews in local
