Margaret Berger, born 11 October 1985 in Trondheim, Norway, is a Norwegian
singer, songwriter, music director, and DJ whose early involvement in a gospel
choir and songwriting from age twelve laid the foundation for her career. After
placing second in the second season of Norwegian Idol in 2004, she signed with
Sony BMG and released her debut studio album Chameleon on 28 September 2004,
which peaked at number 4 on the Norwegian albums chart; the album featured the
video‑winning track "Lifetime Guarantee" that earned a Spellemannprisen award.
