Marcia Aitken
Marcia Aitken, born circa 1956 in Hannah Town, West Kingston, Jamaica, is a
reggae singer known for her work in the late 1970s. While still a student at
Excelsior High School, Aitken's breakthrough came when she joined Lloyd Parks
and the We the People Band after performing at a school concert. She began
recording for Joe Gibbs, focusing on lovers rock. Her rendition of Alton Ellis'
"I'm Still in Love With You" (retitled "I'm Still in Love with You Boy") (1977)
became a Number 1 hit in Jamaica and achieved success internationally. In 1978,
