Malika Ferguson, born in the United Kingdom in 1989, is an English contemporary
R&B and soul singer‑songwriter also known as Meleka and Malika. She emerged from
the underground songwriting scene under the pseudonym Meleka. After writing
background tracks for other producers, she broke into the public eye as the
featured vocalist on the funky house anthem "Go" with Crazy Cousinz in 2010, a
track that helped launch her solo career. She subsequently released the single
"Miss Me" in 2010 and the EP Songs About C, followed by "Bright Lights" in 2011
