Margaret A. Roche was an American folk pop musician born on October 26, 1951.
She reached professional recognition as a songwriter and founding member of the
vocal ensemble The Roches. Her professional career began in the late 1960s after
she left secondary school to perform as a duo with her sister, Terre Roche. The
sisters reached professional recognition in 1973 after performing as backup
vocalists on the studio recording There Goes Rhymin' Simon by Paul Simon. In
