Luís Represas

Luís Paulo Fontes Represas, born November 24, 1956, in Lisbon, Portugal, and
died July 22, 2026, was a Portuguese singer, composer, and guitarist. He learned
the guitar autodidactically at the age of 13 and played with his first band,
covering rock acts such as Pink Floyd and the Beatles. Following the 1974
Carnation Revolution, the guitarist co-founded the folk-influenced pop-rock band
Trovante in 1976. The group achieved significant success before disbanding in
1992. He began his solo career in 1993 with the album Represas, which featured a
duet with Pablo Milanés titled "Feiti...
