Los Embajadores Vallenatos, formed in 1982 in Colombia, consisted of vocalist
Robinson Damián Villanueva (born 24 March 1961 in Villanueva) and accordionist
Ramiro Colmenares (born in Bucaramanga and died 17 September 2022 in Paraguay).
The duo began as “El Grupo de Upar” before adopting the final name after meeting
in Valledupar, the capital of Cesar. Their first studio effort, the 1982 album
Los Embajadores Vallenatos, featured the track “La Juntera”, marking their entry
