Lorena Astudillo is an Argentine folk singer, songwriter, and psychologist born on February 18, 1968, in Buenos Aires. She studied under Andrés Aciar for fifteen years and released her debut studio recording, Lorena canta al Cuchi, in 1998. The album was dedicated to the works of Gustavo Cuchi Leguizamón. In 2003, she released Ojos de agua, which received a nomination for the Clarín Award as "revelación de folclore."
