Lon Satton, born Alonzo Louis Lee Staton on February 11, 1927 in Jacksonville,
Florida, was an American singer and actor. He started his career as a vocalist
in jazz clubs, performing under Earl Hines and the Cotton Club Revue. In
Chicago, he transitioned to theatre, starring opposite Barbara McNair in The
Body Beautiful (1958). Satton relocated to the United Kingdom in the early
1970s, appearing in musicals like Catch My Soul (1971) and The Threepenny Opera.
