Lipa Schmeltzer, born Elazar Lipa Schmeltzer on March 17, 1978 and raised in New
Square, New York, is an American Hasidic singer and composer. He began his
musical career shortly after getting married in 1998. His early albums include
Nor B'Simcha (Just Be Happy), followed by Shema (2001), produced by JJ Fried.
Known for his fusion of traditional Hasidic music with contemporary styles,
Schmeltzer has released numerous albums, including Purim in Skver, The Next
