All-boy choir Libera was set up by Robert Prizeman – born in London, UK on February 28, 1952 – who studied organ and harpsichord before becoming the choirmaster at St. Philip's Church in Norbury, South London in 1970. The original incarnation of Libera first formed in the mid-'80s and released their first commercial recording, "Sing Forever" in 1987, with an album of the same name following in 1988, released as St Philip's Choir.
