Leo Reisman was an American violinist and bandleader born on 11 October 1897 in
Boston. Inspired by Jascha Heifetz, he studied the violin as a young man before
forming his own dance orchestra in 1919. He made his first recording for
Columbia Records on 10 January 1921 with the titles “Love Bird” and “Bright
Eyes”. Reisman recorded exclusively for Columbia from 1923 until March 1929,
