Leandro Saint-Hill
Leandro Saint-Hill Montejo, born in 1968 in Camagüey, Cuba, is a Cuban jazz
musician, saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, and composer. His early training
began with violin lessons from his father, conductor Marcelo Saint-Hill Sweeney,
before switching to saxophone at eleven under Mario Lombida and others. His
career gained momentum after relocating to Hamburg in the mid‑1990s, where he
became a sought‑after session musician for artists such as Jan Degenhardt, Nena,
