Lars Jansson, born on February 25, 1951, in Örebro, Sweden, is a Swedish
musician, composer, arranger, pianist, and pedagogue. Around 1970, he performed
Hammond organ with drummer Sjunne Ferger in the duo Takt & Ton, appearing
frequently at Örebro’s Power House jazz and blues club before moving to
Gothenburg. After studying at the Gothenburg Academy of Music, Jansson
established a long career as a freelance musician and collaborated with artists
including Jan Garbarek, Arild Andersen, Radka Toneff, Steve Swallow, Bob Berg,
