Lady Pank was formed in Wrocław in 1981 by guitarist Jan Borysewicz and lyricist
Andrzej Mogielnicki, with Janusz Panasewicz soon joining as lead vocalist. The
band quickly became one of the leading acts of 1980s Polish rock, particularly
after their debut album Lady Pank (1983), which featured hits such as “Mniej niż
zero,” “Kryzysowa narzeczona,” and “Tańcz głupia, tańcz.” They also gained
international exposure through English-language recordings, including “Minus
