Lason Jackson, better known as La the Darkman, was born on July 23, 1979, in
New York City, United States, and is a Wu-Tang Clan-affiliated rapper and MC. He
released his debut album Heist of the Century through Navarre Distribution in
1998, which peaked at number 37 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip‑Hop Albums chart. Over
the next decade, he released several albums including Embassy Invasion (2011)
with DJ Green Lantern, the EP La Luminati (2016), Play by La Rules (2017), The
