La Macanita
Tomasa Guerrero Carrasco, known professionally as La Macanita, is a Spanish
flamenco singer born on June 13, 1969, in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. She began
her career at age four, appearing on the television series Rito y Geografía del
Cante. Her breakthrough occurred in 1983 with her first recital alongside
guitarist Ramón Trujillo at the Hotel Jerez. She recorded her debut album, A la
Luna Nueva, in 1989 under the Twin Records label. Throughout her career, she
