Kim Oki is a South Korean saxophonist known for his experimental approach to
jazz and avant-garde music. Initially a breakdancer and backup dancer for Sechs
Kies, he discovered the saxophone at age 25 after mistaking Miles Davis for a
saxophonist. He debuted in 2013 with the album Cherubim's Wrath, which was
inspired by Jo Sehui's novel The Dwarf. His genre-blending sound quickly gained
recognition, earning him Best Jazz & Crossover Performance at the 2014 Korean
