Ken is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter born on November 28, 1968, in
Maibara, Shiga. He is best known as the lead guitarist of the rock band
L'Arc-en-Ciel. In 1992, Ken abandoned his architectural studies at the Nagoya
Institute of Technology to join the band at the request of childhood friend
Tetsuya. The group released their debut album, Dune, in 1993, followed by their
major label debut, Tierra, in 1994. Their fourth studio album, True, was
released in 1996 and became their first Number 1 record on the Oricon chart,
