Born in Whangārei, New Zealand, on 26 October 1967 and raised mainly in
Caboolture, Australia, Keith Urban became one of the few non-American artists to
build a major career in US country music. After releasing his first self-titled
album in Australia in 1991, he moved to Nashville, worked as a session guitarist
and fronted the Ranch, whose only album arrived in 1997. His US solo
breakthrough came with Keith Urban in 1999 and his first number-one country
