Kazimierz Piotr Staszewski, known professionally as Kazik Staszewski, was born
on March 12, 1963, in Warsaw, Poland. He is a singer and saxophonist who grew up
with his mother and grandmother after his father fled to France due to political
conflicts. In 1979, at the age of 16, Staszewski joined the band Poland, which
later evolved into Novelty Poland in 1981. The following year, he founded Kult,
one of Poland's most influential rock bands. Staszewski began his solo career in
1991 with the album Spalam się. Throughout his career, he released numerous
albums including Spalaj się! ...
