Katherine Nicole Pruitt, known as Katie Pruitt, was born on March 4, 1994, in
Atlanta, Georgia, and is an American singer-songwriter based in Nashville,
Tennessee. She began singing at a young age and learned guitar during middle
school. In 2017, she received the Buddy Holly Prize from the Songwriters Hall of
Fame and signed with Round Hill Records. Her debut EP OurVinyl Live Session was
released in 2018. She gained recognition as one of Rolling Stone's 10 new
