Katie Herzig is an American singer-songwriter and musician born on March 6,
1980, in California. Raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, she began her career in
1997 by forming the band Newcomers Home, which blended elements of pop, folk,
and bluegrass. After the group disbanded in 2006, Herzig relocated to Nashville
to focus on her solo career. She had previously released her debut album, Watch
Them Fall, in 2004, and followed it with the self-produced Weightless in 2006.
