Kante is a German band formed in Hamburg by childhood friends Peter Thiessen and
Sebastian Vogel. While the pair had been musical partners since 1988, they
officially adopted the name Kante in 1995 upon enlisting bassist Andreas Krane
and keyboardist Jens Vogt. The group released its debut album, Zwischen den
Orten, in 1997. Their follow-up, Zweilicht, arrived in 2001, marking a shift
