Kamal Heer
Kamaljeet Singh Heer, known professionally as Kamal Heer, is an Indian-born
Canadian Punjabi singer, songwriter, and composer born in the village of
Halluwal, Punjab, India, on January 23, 1973. The younger brother of musicians
Manmohan Waris and Sangtar, he learned traditional Punjabi music from Ustaad
Jaswant Singh Bhanwra. After his family relocated to Surrey, British Columbia,
Canada, in 1990, he began composing music with his brother Sangtar, notably
producing Waris's hit debut album, Gaairan Naal Penghan Jhotdiye, in 1993. He
