Jyotsna Srikanth, an Indian-British violinist and composer, was born into a
musical family in Bangalore, India. Her mother, Ratna Srikantaiah, began
training her in Carnatic vocals at age five. At six, Jyotsna Srikanth attended a
performance by Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan, sparking her interest in the violin. She
started training under R. R. Keshavamurthy and gave her first solo concert at
