Jully Black is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress born Jullyann Inderia Gordon Black on November 8, 1977, in Toronto. She was the youngest of nine children and was raised in a strict Pentecostal household. At age 19, Black signed with Warner/Chappell Music before moving to Universal Music Canada. In 1998, she released the track “Rally'n” with Saukrates. Her debut studio recording, This Is Me, appeared in 2005 and featured the singles “Sweat of Your Brow” and “5x Love”.
