Julian Colbeck is an English keyboardist, author, and businessman who was born
in Aldershot, Hampshire, in 1952. He achieved early professional recognition in
1973 after signing a record deal with the band Greep and is famous for his
tenure with the rock band Charlie and for his collaborations with Steve Hackett
and Yes alumni. Colbeck performed with The New Seekers in 1974 before joining
Charlie, with whom he co-produced the studio recordings Lines (1978), Fight
