Judy Cheeks, born on February 13, 1954 in Miami, Florida, is an American singer.
Raised by her father, gospel singer Rev. Julius Cheeks, she began her musical
career as a soul and R&B singer in the 1970s. Her debut album Judy Cheeks was
produced by Ike & Tina Turner at Bolic Sound studio in 1973. A tour with Ike &
Tina Turner followed, during which she also performed as an Ikette. In 1977,
Cheeks moved to Germany and recorded a duet with Austrian singer Udo Jürgens,
gaining overnight success in Europe after their performance on The Rudi Carrell
