Juan José Domínguez was an Argentine guitarist and composer born on October 23,
1951, in Junín. He began playing the guitar at age five and studied at the
Academia Oliva before attending the Conservatorio Julián Aguirre. By age twelve,
he had completed formal training in guitar, theory, and solfeo. Domínguez left
his classical studies at age fifteen to pursue popular music, initially
accompanying vocalists such as Rosamel Araya and Alberto Morán. Throughout a
