Jóvenes Clásicos del Son, a Cuban septet, is dedicated to revitalizing the
classic Son cubano genre. Founded in 1994 under the direction of Ernesto Reyes
Proenza, the ensemble showcases the timeless sounds of double bass, tres guitar,
guitar, trumpet, congas, bongos, and a captivating vocalist. Since 1995, Jóvenes
Clásicos del Son has shared the stage with renowned Cuban and international
musicians, including Wynton Marsalis and Compay Segundo. Their breakthrough came
with the release of their debut album, No pueden parar, in 1996, earning them
the title of Best Group of the Year...
