Joseph Shabason, born in 1981 or 1982, is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist and
composer. His early training began at age ten on guitar before shifting to
saxophone at Humber College. His first significant release was the solo album
Aytche in 2017, followed by Anne (2018) and Muldrew (2019) with Ben Gunning. In
2020, he collaborated with Nicholas Krgovich and Chris Harris on Philadelphia,
which was longlisted for the 2021 Polaris Music Prize, and released The
