Jorge Vercillo
Jorge Vercillo is a singer, actor, writer and musician from Brazil with several
Latin Grammy nominations, TV theme songs and albums to his credit. Born in Rio
in 1968, he studied journalism to degree level but it was to music that he was
eventually drawn primarily by listening to the work of singer and guitarist
Djavan Caetano Viana; this was the impetus behind him starting to perform in
local clubs when he was just 16 years of age.
