Jonathan Reuel Herington, born on April 14, 1954 in Paterson, New Jersey, is an
American guitarist and singer-songwriter. He began his musical journey playing
piano and saxophone before transitioning to guitar. Herington's first band,
Highway, opened for local Bruce Springsteen shows. His breakthrough came when he
was recommended by Ted Baker to Donald Fagen and Walter Becker of Steely Dan,
leading to his involvement in their 2000 album Two Against Nature. He recorded
"Janie Runaway" and toured with the band. He continued collaborating with Steely
Dan on Everything Must Go (2003)...
