John Shannon
John Shannon is an American folk-rock singer-songwriter. He grew up immersed in
Pittsburgh's underground music scene and graduated from the Berklee College of
Music in Boston. His first solo album, American Mystic, was released in 2008 on
ObliqSound. In 2011, he released Songs of the Desert River with the band Wings
of Sound. Shannon's subsequent album, Time Was a Lie, was released in 2012 on
Creek Valley and featured electric bass for the first time. Throughout his
career, Shannon collaborated with notable artists such as Hiromi Uehara, James
Maddock, Bob Reynolds, Sonya Kitchel...
