John Ross Twiston Davies, born on March 20, 1927 in Wivelsfield, Sussex,
England, was an audio engineer, trombonist, trumpeter, and alto saxophonist. In
the early 1950s, he was as a member of the Crane River Jazz Band led by Ken
Colyer, which revived interest in the original New Orleans jazz style. Davies
later achieved chart success with The Temperance Seven, reaching the top of the
UK Singles Chart in 1961 with "You're Driving Me Crazy". In addition to his
