 John Alldis (10 August 1929 – 20 December 2010) was an English choral conductor known for his work with major orchestras and professional choirs. A choral scholar at King's College, Cambridge, he later founded the John Alldis Choir in 1962, premiering works by Alexander Goehr, Malcolm Williamson, and Harrison Birtwistle. He collaborated with renowned conductors, led the London Philharmonic Choir (1969–1982), and recorded with Pink Floyd and Duke Ellington. Alldis conducted internationally, winning Grammy Awards and earning the title Chevalier de L'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. ...
