Joey Sellers, born in 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona, is an American trombonist,
composer, and arranger. He graduated from Arizona State University and worked as
a freelance musician in New York City and Los Angeles. In 1989, he released his
debut album Something For Nothing on Nine Winds Records. Sellers later took up
an assistant professorship for jazz studies at Northern Illinois University
before becoming the Director of Jazz Studies at Saddleback College in California
