Joseph Francis Robert Dolan, born on 16 October 1939 in Mullingar, County
Westmeath, Ireland, was a singer known for his high tenor voice and energetic
stage performances. He started his music career by forming the band The Drifters
with his brother Ben in 1958. He released his debut single "The Answer to
Everything" in September 1964, which made it to number four on the Irish charts.
His career spanned several decades, marked by numerous album releases and
international tours. In 1968, he recorded "Make Me an Island", which became a
hit in the UK and led to his appearance on BBC...
