Jimmy George
Jimmy George was a Canadian folk rock band from Ottawa, Ontario active between
1991 and 1997. The ensemble originally consisted of Michael Lawson, Joel
Carlson, Steve Barry, Duncan Gillis, Rob Porter, Michael Eady and Colin Burns.
The group served as the house band for the Duke of Somerset pub, where they
performed more than 500 concerts. The band released its debut studio album, A
Month of Sundays, in 1993 through the label Cargo Records. Their recording
history also featured the studio recording Hotel Motel (1995), which was
