Jimmy Bruno is an American jazz guitarist, music teacher, and author born on July 22, 1953. He began his career within the Philadelphia jazz scene in the early 1970s and embarked on his first major tour at age 19 with the band of Buddy Rich. He later led Frank Sinatra's backing band and worked in Los Angeles before returning to Philadelphia. Since the early 1990s, he worked as a guitar instructor and published several instructional materials, including the instructional video No Nonsense Jazz Guitar.
