Jessi Colter
Jessi Colter is an American country music singer born May 25, 1943 in Phoenix,
Arizona. Born Mirriam Johnson, Colter married guitarist Duane Eddy in 1963,
collaborating musically before marrying country singer Waylon Jennings in 1969
and becoming part of the outlaw country movement. Colter released her debut
studio album A Country Star Is Born in 1970. In 1975, Colter achieved commercial
success with the single “I'm Not Lisa”, which reached Number 1 on the Billboard
Hot Country Songs chart and number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The accompanying
