Jeneba Kanneh-Mason is a pianist and cellist from the famous British musical
family. Daughter of Stuart Mason of Antiguan origin and Kaniatu Kanneh of Sierra
Leone, she was born and raised in Nottingham, where she began learning piano
with her mother and cello with her older brother Sheku Kanneh-Mason, one of
seven siblings. After private lessons with Vanessa Latarche and studies at the
Royal College of Music, she made her BBC Proms debut performing Florence Price's
